ABOUT
World Professional Muaythai Association (WPMTA)
The World Professional Muaythai Association (WPMTA) was established in 2017 with the objective of promoting, developing, and standardizing the sport of Muay Thai internationally.
WPMTA was founded by Mr. Prathan Worramanin, a highly experienced Muay Thai expert with extensive knowledge and professional experience in Thai boxing, particularly through his involvement with Lumpinee Stadium, one of Thailand’s most prestigious and internationally recognized Muay Thai arenas.
Following the establishment of the association, General Kasem Naparswad was invited to serve as the President of the World Professional Muaythai Association (WPMTA).
The World Professional Muaythai Association (WPMTA) is officially established and recognized by the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), Ministry of Tourism and Sports, under registration number 004/2017, registered on 23 March 2017.
WPMTA Headquarters and Training Academy
WPMTA established its official office and training academy under the name:
M-ONE LUMPINEE MUAYTHAI SCHOOL
Under the Supervision of the Ministry of Education
The academy operates professional Muay Thai training programs and serves as a center for developing Muay Thai practitioners, instructors, and personnel according to WPMTA standards.
Muay Thai Training Programs
The objective of WPMTA is to provide professional Muay Thai education and training for individuals of all genders, ages, and nationalities who are interested in learning authentic Muay Thai correctly and systematically.
WPMTA has developed professional instructor training programs covering fundamental to advanced levels, including:
Professional Muay Thai Coach Level 1
Professional Muay Thai Coach Level 2
Professional Muay Thai Coach Level 3
These programs are designed to develop qualified Muay Thai instructors with knowledge and skills in:
– Muay Thai fundamentals and techniques
– Muay Thai training methodology
– Coaching principles
– Professional Muay Thai standards
– Athlete safety and development
The training programs are conducted in cooperation with:
M-ONE LUMPINEE MUAYTHAI SCHOOL
Under the Supervision of the Ministry of Education
Upon successful completion of the training program, participants will receive an official certificate issued by the World Professional Muaythai Association (WPMTA).
Global Muay Thai Development and Public Benefit Activities
Beyond professional training and competition development, WPMTA is committed to promoting Muay Thai as Thailand’s cultural heritage and an international sport.
WPMTA conducts public benefit activities, including providing free Muay Thai training sessions for students and communities in various locations without any cost, helping to make Muay Thai education accessible to people from different backgrounds.
The association also supports the development of Muay Thai worldwide through cooperation with international promoters, organizations, and partners to expand the growth, recognition, and professional standards of Muay Thai globally.
WPMTA International Championship
WPMTA organizes international competitions under the Event name:
M-ONE Grand Muay Thai
These events are organized to determine WPMTA World Champions and promote professional Muay Thai competition standards at an international level.
The competitions attract athletes, promoters, and audiences from various countries around the world.
The inaugural event featured a championship match between champions from Japan and Thailand, held in the United States, marking an important milestone in the expansion of WPMTA’s international competition platform.
