นับเป็นมงคลอันสูงสุดและเกียรติประวัติอันสำคัญของ สมาคมกีฬามวยไทยอาชีพโลก
วันที่ 13 พฤษภาคม 2569 ณ สโมสรราชพฤกษ์ ท่านพลเอกเกษม นภาสวัสดิ์ นายกสมาคมกีฬามวยไทยอาชีพโลก ได้เข้ากราบเรียนเชิญ ฯพณฯ พลเอกเชษฐา ฐานะจาโร ประธานที่ปรึกษาสภามวยไทยโลก เพื่อดำรงตำแหน่ง “ประธานที่ปรึกษา” ของสมาคมกีฬามวยไทยอาชีพโลก
ในการนี้ ฯพณฯ พลเอกเชษฐา ฐานะจาโร ได้ให้เกียรติตอบรับคำกราบเรียนเชิญดังกล่าว ซึ่งนับเป็นพลังสำคัญในการร่วมขับเคลื่อนพันธกิจของสมาคมฯ ในการส่งเสริม อนุรักษ์ และเผยแพร่ศิลปะมวยไทย อันเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมและเอกลักษณ์ประจำชาติไทยให้เป็นที่รู้จักในระดับนานาชาติอย่างเหมาะสมและยั่งยืน
ทั้งนี้ สมาคมกีฬามวยไทยอาชีพโลก มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการเผยแพร่ อนุรักษ์ และนำเสนอศิลปะมวยไทยสู่ระดับนานาชาติ ถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้หลักของมวยไทยและวัฒนธรรมไทยตามข้อบังคับ ระเบียบ กติกา และขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีไทย โดยยึดถือพระราชบัญญัติกีฬามวย พ.ศ. 2542 เป็นบรรทัดฐาน รวมถึงส่งเสริมชื่อเสียงของประเทศไทยในฐานะแหล่งกำเนิดมวยไทย และดำเนินกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนให้มวยไทยได้รับการยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติ
สมาคมฯ ยังมุ่งส่งเสริมและพัฒนานักมวยไทย ครูฝึกมวยไทย และผู้ตัดสินมวยไทย ให้มีความรู้ ความสามารถ และคุณสมบัติที่เหมาะสมตามมาตรฐานวิชาชีพ ตลอดจนเผยแพร่ความรู้ด้านมวยไทยแก่ชาวต่างชาติ เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจในศิลปะมวยไทยอย่างถูกต้อง รวมถึงจัดสวัสดิการที่เหมาะสมให้แก่สมาชิกของสมาคมฯ
นอกจากนี้ สมาคมฯ มีเป้าหมายในการส่งเสริมมวยไทยอาชีพในรูปแบบ “Sport Entertainment” ผ่านการจัดการแข่งขันมวยไทยและกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ภายใต้วัตถุประสงค์และข้อบังคับของสมาคม โดยการดำเนินงานทั้งหมดจะเป็นการดำเนินงานในนามของสมาคม และมิใช่การดำเนินงานในฐานะตัวแทนประเทศไทย หรือการส่งนักกีฬาเข้าแข่งขันในนามทีมชาติไทยแต่อย่างใด
ด้วยบารมี วิสัยทัศน์ และประสบการณ์อันทรงคุณค่าของ ฯพณฯ พลเอกเชษฐา ฐานะจาโร สมาคมฯ เชื่อมั่นว่าจะสามารถร่วมกันพัฒนาวงการมวยไทยให้มีความเข้มแข็ง และได้รับการยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติอย่างต่อเนื่องสืบไป

It is considered a great honor and a significant milestone for the World Professional Muaythai Association.
On May 13, 2026, at Rajpruek Club, General Kasem Napasawat, President of the World Professional Muaythai Association, formally paid a courtesy visit to respectfully invite His Excellency General Chettha Thanajaro, Advisory Chairman of the World Muaythai Council, to serve as the “Honorary Advisory Chairman” of the Association.
On this occasion, His Excellency General Chettha Thanajaro graciously accepted the invitation, marking an important step in strengthening the Association’s mission to promote, preserve, and present the art of Muaythai internationally as one of Thailand’s valuable cultural heritages and national identities in a sustainable and appropriate manner.
The World Professional Muaythai Association aims to promote, preserve, and present Muaythai on the international stage by transmitting the core knowledge of Muaythai and Thai culture in accordance with the Association’s regulations, competition rules, and Thai traditions, while adhering to the standards set forth under the Boxing Act B.E. 2542 (1999). The Association also seeks to promote the reputation of Thailand as the birthplace of Muaythai and to carry out activities supporting the international recognition of Muaythai.
In addition, the Association is committed to supporting and developing Muaythai athletes, instructors, and referees by enhancing their knowledge, capabilities, and professional standards, while also promoting understanding of authentic Muaythai among international participants and audiences. The Association further provides appropriate welfare and support for its members.
Furthermore, the Association aims to promote professional Muaythai as a form of “Sport Entertainment” through the organization of Muaythai competitions and related activities conducted in accordance with the objectives and regulations of the Association. All such operations shall be carried out solely in the name and capacity of the Association and shall not be deemed representation of Thailand or participation on behalf of the Thai national team under any circumstances.
With the vision, leadership, and distinguished experience of His Excellency General Chettha Thanajaro, the Association firmly believes that it will continue to strengthen and elevate the Muaythai industry toward broader international recognition in the years to come.
